Pavlos Sermpezis joins Measurement Lab as Director, Tech Lead

Measurement Lab is pleased to announce the addition of Pavlos Sermpezis to our team as our new Director, Tech Lead.

Many highly qualified and inspiring candidates applied for this position, and after extensive review we are pleased to announce Pavlos Sermpezis as Director, Tech Lead at Measurement Lab. Pavlos will bring 10 years of experience in internet measurement research, data analytics, and AI. Pavlos officially starts in May, and we’re excited for him to meet the M-Lab community.

Pavlos is a senior researcher and data scientist. His work mainly focuses on computer networking and Internet measurements, but also extends to a range of other fields—from trustworthy AI to data journalism. He has contributed to the design and development of actionable tools, open-source software, and technology transfer initiatives. He is a co-founder of a university spin-off company, and holds a PhD from EURECOM, France (2015), as well as a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2011).
